About Vanessa
From her native country New Zealand, Vanessa has been in the Performing Arts Industry for the past 18 years.
Vanessa Graduated and achieved a Scholarship and Diploma from The National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA, Christchurch, New Zealand) in 1996.
Vanessa's most outstanding success to date was to achieve three consecutive Number One hits and a Platinum Album as one of the front singers for group 'Deep Obsession'. This achievement broke New Zealand history and currently still stands. The group toured internationally, representing New Zealand Music. Opening for such groups as Boney M, 'Hanson', 'Sclub7', 'Venga Boys' and '5' and along side New Zealand group 'Zed'.
While singing and recording, Vanessa has worked in the Television and Theatrical world as an Actor. She has Presented for the National Television 3 Network and Sky Television Network and has acted on Television series such as 'Xena Warrior Princess', 'Hercules', 'Young Hercules' and 'Shortland Street'. Her Theatrical performances range from Anton Chekov's Three Sister (role of Arena) to Andrew Lloyd Webbers 'Cats' (role of Jellylorum).

After 5 years signed to Universal Music, Vanessa has since independently continued Self-Managing her Music career.
She has performed for Robbie Williams and his Tour Management Company and sung along side New Zealand singer/songwriter Brooke Fraser.
With a 'Do it yourself' mentality, Vanessa completed a successful New Zealand Jazz/Blues Tour between 2005-2006 before relocating to London, where she lived and performed over a period of 2 years. She will be endeavouring to complete another Summer Tour for 2009-2010 to promote her Debut Jazz/Blues album 'Transition'.
